Can you guarantee that my new website will be on the first page of search engine results such as Google®?

Other than the technical attributes we put in place, this depends on the quality and quantity of written content, the geographical location of your potential customers and the competition in your market sector.

Of course, being first or in the top-ten is possible and

can achieve that for you, but if for example, you trade in a very competitive market and your potential customers can live anywhere in the country, a considerable amount of search engine optimisation needs to be completed before 1st page or top-of-the first-page becomes a reality.

Do you do things to a website to trick the search engines into giving the site a better ranking?

No. Doing that is short-lived, ultimately futile and provides a bad browsing experience for people using the internet searching for the product, service or information they need. We only use acceptable optimisation techniques issued in website authoring guidelines by major search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and bing. This ensures that your website is not marked-down, demoted or deleted entirely from their indices, and that the best possible search engine results position is obtained by your website. For example, one of the most common tricks is hidden text. Highlight the invisible contents between the square brackets to reveal the hidden text... [ THIS IS HIDDEN KEYWORD OR KEY PHRASE TEXT ] Hidden keyword or key-phrase stuffing, which is virtually invisible or unreadable by a human but visible to search engine robots is regarded by search engines as misbehaving and they will either demote your website or remove your website entirely from their indices.

Can we choose our website style?

The pages format and website design parameters can be selected at the Website Design stage. You can choose from a range design styles to suit your taste, preferences or to reflect the image of your business.

Can you make a private website? A website that is not visible to everyone on the internet but a website which just my friends and family can view?

Yes. Generally, it's probably best and less problematic to make the website virtually "invisible" to the search engines and simply give your friends and family the URL, for example: www.myfamilyandfriends.com. Can you create marketing material to support our website such as business cards with our name and logo etc? Yes, that takes about 14 days.

Can you do fancy graphics or do I do that myself? How much time is spent creating a graphic is reflected in the overall price of a website, or you can create the graphic yourself. Here below are some examples of a few customised logos or "banners" we can create.

Yes, but if it requires a fresh installation of a windows operating system, only providing you have a copy of the operating system files on CD/DVD or a functional recovery CD/DVD. If you want to have a go yourself, try the manufacturer's recovery discs first. Generally, you should be able to generate Recovery Disks with your computer, (which you should do without delay if you are reading this and haven't done that yet!) or when you first install your computer and it's properly set-up and running as it should be. Failing that, contact the computer manufacturer's help-desk and ask for a set of recovery disks.

My computer has got really, really slow and often locks up. It's driving me nuts! Can you sort it out? Yes, and we'll implement measures to stop or minimise this happening again. Your computer may be infested with undesirable software. If not, it could mean that the hard drive is losing integrity and "on its way out" . Because, if re-installing windows after re-formatting the hard disc drive (HDD), you have a system that works well and is ok but then one day (days or not many weeks later) you switch it on and get major errors, it is likely that the hard drive needs replacing. Once a hard drive develops errors it will keep on doing so and only time and your patience (and the cost of repairs) will prompt you to replace it.

recommend Seagate or Western Digital hard-disc drives. Not that we are affiliated with them in any way, but simply because we think they are fast and reliable hard disk drives.

Can you install Firefox for me? Yes, but it's really very easy to do yourself. And all the add-ons make it the best internet browser (in our opinion) you can get. And, it is FREE to download and FREE to use!

Ok, so I need a new hard drive or something. How quickly can you fix it? We like to assure our customers "within 7 working days" but that depends on the item being replaced, the availability and stock levels at a distributor. Nevertheless, think... "7 working days" and if it will be any more, we will advise you.

Can you lend me a pc whilst mine is in for repair? We will soon be offering a replacement pc service, whereby you can still access the internet, process letters and reply to correspondence whilst your pc is in for repair. When details have been finalised, additions to our computer breakdown service such as this will be posted at the end of this page. Put succinctly, it will allow you to catch-up on emails, surf the net and write a few simple letters whilst your pc is in dry dock undergoing major surgery. Note: We cannot offer this computer breakdown service to anyone outside the "near Carcassonne" or Montagne Noire region for logistical reasons.

You say, "7 working days" but that's a long time to be without a computer! If computer repairs do not involve sourcing hardware such as memory, cards or drives, repairs are usually completed within 2-3 working days, or even less.

I want a website, how quickly can you get one done? That depends on the complexity, the number of features and how many pages you require. What helps reduce the production time is for the customer to plan or map-out on paper exactly what is required before contacting us. For example, a 5 page website would include 1) a home page, 2) a contact us page 3) a products page 4) questions page 5) a guest book or customer reference page. You can add pages like more products pages (1 page per product is best), links, articles written by the customer, calendars, a Blog, forums, custom 404 error page, terms and conditions page, how-to-pay page, an intro page, a photo gallery and so on.

In reducing website production time, having the textual content ready to publish is very important. We cannot write reams about a business (your business) we know nothing or very little about. So having the text for each page ready to publish, together with any photos helps reduce production time dramatically. If you are thinking about getting a website, fire-up your favourite word processing and start typing. Name each of the pages with the title of intended website page. Once we know that you have all the text in place and ready to go, we can give you a better estimate. But, to answer your question, anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months. For example, if you instructed us on 1st day of the month we would aim to have a 5-page (or so) website finished and up and running by the end of that month and visible to everyone on the WWW.

I'm not sure that I want a big website just at the moment, maybe just a couple of pages. What would you recommend? That depends on whether you want your website to be a pro-active marketing tool or a business reference to support your existing methods of advertising (yellow pages, trade journals, newspapers, classifieds et cetera). Don't expect a two-page website to be particularly productive unless you have a niche market or you are in an area (business or geographic) with little or no competition. However, customers will still be able to find you relatively easily using your business name or address with just a one page website whatever your website is about. But to answer your question, we would be pleased to create a professional website with single or multiple pages. If you are unsure, best to start off with one or a couple of pages and add to them later if you want to.

I would like a small website but with lots of different email addresses. Is that something you can do? Yes, but all the email addresses will have the same suffix such as "whatevertheprefixis"@myownwebsite.com. We will protect any email addresses you choose to publish on your website with java® to minimise the possibility of spam bots harvesting your published email address(s).
